Kienitz was the publisher of the Herald from 1946 – 1971, and a long time resident of the Good Thunder area. The collection contains items relating to the publishing of the Good Thunder Herald and to the history of Good Thunder. The collection contains photographs, newspaper clippings, and published and unpublished articles about Good Thunder.

The Kleinschmidt Bar collection contains the bar’s financial ledger for 1903 through 1904. Nicholas Kleinschmidt, 1866 – 1945, was the bar’s proprietor.
