Abstract
This collection contains materials that either belonged to, or relate to Mrs. Susan Marshman (Dyer) Fletcher, (1845 - 1941). Mrs. Fletcher was a teacher at the Mankato Normal School, and this collection contains letters to her from George M. Gage, principal of the Normal school. Also included are photographs, newspaper clippings, a copy of a biographical sketch, and a speech given by Mrs. Fletcher at the fiftieth anniversary of the State Teachers College in 1918.

This collection is made up of thirteen photocopies of engineering drawings of cars and trucks designed by Mr. Ernest Rosenberger of the Four Traction Auto Company. Abstract
This collection consists of a typescript of the autobiography of Andrew Friend, of Garden City, Minnesota. The item is entitled “The Life of Mr. Friend”, and was compiled in 1916. In his autobiography, Friend discusses his involvement in building sawmills and gristmills in southern Minnesota, the defense of New Ulm during the Dakota Conflict, and the operation of his flourmill at Garden City.

The Emma Gail collection contains a typed copy of a journal written during the Gail family's move from Waupan, Wisconsin to Mankato, Minnesota in 1855. The first section of the journal contains Gail's accounts concerning the family's trip to Mankato. The second half of the collection contains her description of Mankato and her life in 1881. Abstract
The Lewis Hector Garrard collection contains rough-draft copies of the first five chapters in the book Wah-To-Yah and the Taos Trail, correspondence between Garrard and his family, tax and property receipts, biographical information, newspaper clippings, and documents related to Garrard’s service in the military. The letters were written during Garrard’s trip to the west in the 1840’s, his college years, and from his homes in Europe and Minnesota.
