The Boe. March 1921, Vol. 5, No. 3
This collection consists of one volume of The Boe, a magazine printed in Mankato, Minnesota during the 1920s. It was published by Charles Eugene Barnes, who was also the printer of The Independent. The goal of the magazine was social criticism, and both national and local topics are discussed. The author discusses Woodrow Wilson with disdain, attacks local hypocrites, and dispenses bits of knowledge in between the stories.
The Mankato News, Mankato, Minnesota. Collection, 1920 - 1965
The Mankato News collection contains both correspondence concerning the newspaper, 1932 - 1965, and miscellaneous issues of the newspaper itself, 1920 - 1958. The newspaper's information covered issues related to the Mankato area. Furthermore, the paper contained numerous articles about Minnesota State Senator Val Imm who coincidently served as the paper's publisher, editor, and owner between 1927 and 1958.

This collection consists of weekly releases to newspapers from the Minnesota Historical Society. These releases consist of several short stories about Minnesota history, often telling the story of specific person or area. They were to be used by the newspapers at their leisure, so many did not make it into print. The collection is not complete, and contains many gaps in the dates indicated (26 August 1854 – 18 December 1958).

This collection contains a scrap of the front page of the first issue of The Reminder, The Mankato Reminder Company published the paper, and it contained advertisements and a want-ad service for its readers.

The early years of the town, prominent figures in St. Peter’s history, and area businesses are all discussed in this volume.
The Tap. Newsletter, August 1937.
This collection consists of a photocopy of a 1937 issue of The Tap, which was the newsletter of the Mankato Brewing Company of Mankato, Minnesota. This issue contains a historical sketch of the brewery, which was founded in 1856. Also included in this issue are stories of taverns that sold Kato beer, and recipes for food items containing Kato beer.
