The Bert Earl Bums collection contains an oral history interview and transcript of an interview conducted by Boyd Boyum with Bums in Febmary 1979. In the interview, Bums recalled his experiences of becoming an educator and teaching public school in rural Kenosha County, Wisconsin during the 1930s.

This history was compiled to celebrate the centennial of the towns founding in 1879. The presentation was entitled “Days of Planting—Years of Harvest. A Centennial History of Amboy, Minnesota.”
