Werges, Rudolph H. 1891 - 1977. "History of Early Hunting Around Gaylord, MN." Paper, 1976.
This collection consists of a photocopy of a paper written by R. H. Werges, formerly of Gaylord, Minnesota. This paper was written for presentation during the American Bicentennial in 1976. In the paper, Werges describes some early hunting experiences of his on the various lakes surrounding Gaylord, including Lake Titloe, Altono’s Lake, and Swan Lake. Werges talks about the people he hunted with and hunting rabbits, grouse, ducks, and other prairie birds.

This collection consists of a transcribed photocopy, jfrom German to English, of the reminiscences of August Edward Winter. Winter served as a German Lutheran minister on the Minnesota frontier, and he detailed his experience in the paper. In the document. Winter described of living conditions, wages, Minnesota communities, the Dakota Conflict, a grasshopper invasion, and Minnesota's pioneers.

This collection consists of research notes and a paper written by Mark R. Winter. The paper is entitled “A Study of a Big Woods Township: Le Ray Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota.” The paper was written in 1977 as part of the requirements for Historical Geography, an undergraduate course at Mankato State University. Handwritten research notes, maps, photocopies of newspaper articles, and the twenty-three-page research paper are all included in the collection.

The Selma I. Yaeger collection contains an audiocassette recording, CD duplicates of the audiocassettes, and a transcript of an interview conducted at Yaeger's home in 1980. The interview deals with Yaeger's recollections of her roles and responsibilities while working as a rural schoolteacher during the 1920s. Patrice L. Johnson conducted the interview.
