This collection consists of a paper written by Dorothy Otto, formerly of Mankato, Minnesota. The typescript is titled “A Cursory History of the First Presbyterian Church of Mankato”, and describes the history of the First Presbyterian Church of Mankato, and was originally presented at a meeting of the church in March of 1974. The paper discusses the period from 1855 to about 1970.

The Salet collection contains photographs and newspaper clippings of Salet family members and the Salet's Department Store in Mankato, Minnesota. Besides photos and clippings, items included are advertisements, three drawings of the original store, and awards received by Salet family members from the Jewish Home for the Aged of the Northwest and the Mankato Exchange Club. This collection pertains exclusively to the Mankato branch of Salet stores.
