This collection consists of a photocopied genealogy written by Rudolph F. Prael. This volume tells the history of the Dornberg family, of Blue Earth County, Minnesota. The genealogy begins with the emigration of the family patriarch from Germany to Minnesota in 1847, and continues until about 1941.

The John E. Regan scrapbook collection consists primarily of newspaper clippings pertaining to his attempts at winning various public positions in Minnesota. In addition, the collection contains photos, affidavits, and campaign literature. Regan ran successfully for the state legislature and unsuccessfully in a gubernatorial election and an election for the United States Senate.

The Benjamin F. Smith collection contains the special orders issued by or during Smith’s command of a Civil War military training camp at Fort Snelling. Furthermore, it includes pay rolls, muster rolls, special orders, and financial records dating from his service as commander of the militia for Blue Earth County in the Dakota Conflict.
