Abstract

This collection consists of a map drawn by the Geography Department of Mankato State University, in 1981. The map shows the locations of various ethnic groups in Blue Earth County in 1890. Nationalities included are: Irish, Swedish, French, German, Norwegian, and others. Also included in the collection is a paper explaining how the information used to construct this map was obtained.

This collection consists of three maps constructed by the Geography Department at Mankato State University. One of the maps is of environmentally sensitive areas of Mankato, Minnesota, and was created in 1984. Another map is a 1986 zoning map of Mankato/North Mankato. The final map contains information on changes in Mankato population from 1970 to 1980, and was drawn from 1986 census reports.

Abstract This collection consists of several items pertaining to Mankato, St. Peter, and Minnesota in general. A lithograph of Mankato, a historical map of Minnesota, a lithograph of St. Peter, and satellite photographs of northern Minnesota make up the bulk of the collection. The lithograph of Mankato was created as part of the United States Bicentennial celebration in 1976, and two newspaper articles describing it are also included.
