This collection has been divided into two series. One covers the Mankato Area and other series contains a variety of images from Minnesota but more specifically the southern portion of the state.

Abstract The Southern Minnesota Historical Center Photograph Collection consists of photographs and images of people and places pertaining to southern Minnesota and the greater Mankato area. While the majority of these images concern this section of the state, a few images relate to locations and people important to other portions of Minnesota.
