Abstract This collection consists of stamps and envelopes commemorating the State of Minnesota’s territorial centennial. The collection is made up of four envelopes, each bearing a different design and matching stamp. The events and places portrayed on the envelopes are Minnesota’s first newspaper, a Red River ox cart train from Pembina to Mendota, the discovery of the source of the Mississippi River, and the establishment of Fort Snelling.
