Abstract
The Delbert Ingvalson collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Ingvalson and Scott Hermanson during November 1985. In the interview, Ingvalson, a music teacher at Gaylord Public High School in Gaylord, Minnesota from 1950 through 1985, discussed his expectations towards students, faculty, administrators, community members, parents and the expectation of these different groups on him. Ingvalson concluded the interview by talking about the necessity of reducing stress and the rewards and frustrations of being an educator.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
