Abstract This collection contains the personal diary of Edwin Newton Hosmer. The diary contains information regarding Hosmer's activities during his military enlistment in the Civil War with Company D, 1st Battalion, Minnesota Infantry in 1865. Hosmer described his experiences and opinions about the war and his absence from home.
