The Jean McCarthy collection consists of an audiocassette tape, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between McCarthy and Norma McCarthy during the autumn of 1983. The collection consists primarily of typed carbon copies of newspaper articles describing the Mankato Normal School, the Minnesota normal school system, and the schools of Mankato and Blue Earth County.
