Abstract

The Margaret C. Buck collection contains an oral history recording and transcript of an interview conducted by Gary Wheeler with Buck in the summer of 1979. In the interview, Buck recalled her work as a physical education teacher in the Minnesota towns of Plainview, Canby, and Chisholm during the 1940s. During her conversation, she explained the economic conditions, athletic conditions, and the role of teachers during World II.

Abstract The Viola Rose Holbrook collection contains 2 audiocassette tapes, CD duplicates of the audiocassettes, and a transcript of an interview conducted between Josephine Carpenter and Holbrook in 1979. In the interview, Holbrook discussed her recollections of growing up in Rapidan, Minnesota and the educational conditions of students and teachers in the years after World War II and her experience teaching at Mankato State University. Abstract

The Human Performance collection consists of a variety of information produced by the Minnesota State University Human Performance Department and its predecessor departments. Included are documents concerning the men’s and women’s physical education programs, such as departmental correspondence and meeting minutes. The majority of this collection dates from the late 1970s and early 1980s. Items have been arranged by alphabetical order.
