Abstract The John Robert Holgate collection contains an audiocassette tape, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Holgate and Robert A. Parsons during the fall of 1988. Holgate began his teaching career in Aransas Pass, Texas, 1962-1963. He left Texas in 1963 and began teaching in Lake Crystal, Minnesota.
