In the interview, Williams discussed his grandfather, J.T. Williams, who came to Blue Earth County, Minnesota in 1854, the growth of Mankato, Minnesota, and his family’s insurance agency.

The Phil Anderson collection contains an audiocassette tape, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, and transcript of an interview conducted with Anderson by Ruth Ann Engstrom in November 1974. In the interview, Anderson recalled his life as a farmer during the Great Depression and the government subsidies that were available for farmers. In addition, Anderson discussed the elections of 1974 and the history of his home.
