Russ, Lynn, 1935-. Oral History Interview, 2008
Abstract
The Lynn Russ collection consists of an audio recording, biographical form, and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Russ and Mark Sheehy in April 2008. Russ taught at Wilson Campus School from the 1960s through 1977. In this interview, Russ talks about sports at Wilson Campus School, the newly formed women's sports, what her daily life was like at Wilson and what she did after the school closed.
This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Wilson Campus School Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical
Lynette Russ was born November 7, 1935 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. After high school, Russ attended the University of Minnesota where she received her Bachelor's degree in physical education, health education and biology. She then came to Mankato State College to get her Master's degree. Russ began teaching at Mankato State College, until she was transferred to Wilson Campus School. While she was at Wilson, Russ was in charge of the girls intramurals and was the coach for girls athletics for inter-scholastics. After Wilson closed, Russ attended the University of Iowa for a certificate degree in administration. Russ currently lives in Mankato, Minnesota.
