Abstract

The Nicholas Skaden collection consists of a biographical form and an audio CD and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Skaden and John Beelman in October 2007. Skaden attended Minnesota State University, Mankato from 2005-2009. In this interview, Skaden talks about why he chose Minnesota State Mankato, his college experiences, where he lived while attending school, his favorite professors, and his plans after graduating.

This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical

Nicholas Skaden was born Nov. 22, 1985 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. He attended and graduated from Blue Earth Area High School in 2004. After Skaden graduated, he attended the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota for a short time before returning home. Skaden then came to Minnesota State University, Mankato where he majored in speech communication and minored in recreation, parks and leisure services. He graduated May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Speech Communication.
