Biographical / Historical
Alois Phillips was born on October 3, 1874, in Minnesota Lake, Minnesota to Xavier and Franciska Phillips. He attended the Mankato State Normal School from 1894 until graduating on March 24, 1899, from the 5-year Elementary course. He married Theresia Gretsch in 1906. They had two children, Arthur, and Clarence, between 1908 and 1916. Phillips died on May 20, 1947, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, at the age of 72, and was buried in Calvary Cemetery.

Abstract
The collection consists of photographs and postcards from the Alois Phillips family from 1890s - 1920s. The images consist of his time at the Mankato State Normal School along with family portraits and family wedding photographs.
