Abstract

This collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Rhonda Allison and Kellian Clink in June 2002. Allison served in the United States Navy during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. She talks about life in the Navy during the early 1990s. She served as machinist on the U.S.S. Yellowstone during the Gulf War.

This oral history interview was conducted as part of the South Central Minnesota Veterans History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical

Rhonda K. Allison was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota in 1971. Following high school she followed a family tradition and enlisted in the United States Navy. During her time in the Navy she obtained the rank of E-4. She was in service from 1989-1993. Following her time in service she returned to Albert Lea, Minnesota.
