Abstract
The Joel Botten, Jr. collection consists of an interview and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Botten and Susan Krentz during the fall of 1990. Botten worked as an elementary school teacher and later as an elementary school principal. In the interview, Botten discussed the changes that elementary school teachers and principals have needed to adapt to between 1961 and 1990.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
