Abstract

The Richard B. Rezanka collection contains an audiocassette, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Rezanka and Susan M. Wrobleski during the fall of 1989. Rezanka worked as a teacher and coach in Pine River, Minnesota from 1951 until his retirement in 1981. In the interview, he recalled the areas of change and continuity for public school teachers. He focused on discipline, relations with the school board, coaching, the trials and tribulations of teaching/coaching, extracurricular events, and he discussed Rohn Stark a longtime punter in the National Football League who attended school in Pine River.

This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
