Abstract

The Mario Forestal collection consists of an audio recording, biographical form, and interview outline of an oral history interview conducted between Forestal and Zeara Alvarez in April 2011. Forestal attended Minnesota State University, Mankato from 2008-2010. In this interview, Forestal talks about his first time on campus, his daily campus activities, and what an education means to him.

This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical

Mario Forestal was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He graduated from Miami Central Senior High School in 2004, and then attended El Camino College in California. He was recruited to play football at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and transferred to Mankato in 2008. He graduated in Spring 2010 with his Bachelor's in International Relations, and is currently a graduate student in the Communications department. Forestal has one son.
