Abstract
The Roger Higgs collection contains an audiocassette tape, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Higgs and Julie L. Higgs during the fall of 1989. Roger Higgs began working as a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1966. In the interview, he discussed changes in the role of the university teacher from 1966 to 1989. He noted changes in the institution’s curriculum, along with modernization and internalization, and changes in the attitudes and ages of faculty members.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
