Cofell, William Lawrence, 1919-2017. Oral History Interview
Abstract
The William Lawrence Cofell collection consists of an audiocassette tape, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Cofell and Gregory A. Page during the fall of 1989. Cofell had spent his career educating students, 1950-1989. He spent three years in the Melrose, Minnesota school system and the remainder of his career at St. Johns University in Collegeville, Minnesota. In the interview, Cofell briefly discussed his experiences as a high school teacher but focused on his experiences teaching at the university level.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
