Abstract
The Patricia Bartusek collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Bartusek and Mary Bohnsack during November 1985. In the interview, Bartusek, a sixth grade teacher at Montgomery Public Elementary School in Montgomery, Minnesota, discussed the benefit of growing up in a town similar to the one she taught in and the impact of a change within the school’s administration. Furthermore, the interview contains information about Bartusek’s views concerning single parent homes, divorce, the results of both parents working outside of the home, and the expectations of students and other teachers.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
