Abstract
This collection consists of research notes and a scholarly paper written by Jeffrey Kintop as part of his course work as a graduate student in the History program at Mankato State University. The paper, entitled “Flandreau’s on Front”, is a history of the Thoms Building, formerly at 223 South Front Street in Mankato, Minnesota. The building served as home to a wide variety of businesses including clothing stores, a candy shop, and a drug and gift store. The building was obtained by the City of Mankato in 1971 as part of a downtown renewal project.
