Abstract
The Dennis Buschkowsky collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Buschkowsky and Laura Prestegaard during November 1986. In the interview, Buschkowsky, a middle and high school teacher with experiences in Centralia, Washington and the Minnesota towns of Hutchinson and North Mankato and Mankato, discussed his experiences as both a student and a teacher between 1961 and 1986. He talked about the rewards, goals, and frustrations of teaching along with observations concerning students, administrators, fellow teachers, school staff, and professional organizations.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
