Abstract
The Stanley (Stan) Burkle collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Burkle and Kathryn Pflibsen during October 1986. In the interview, Burkle, a secondary mathematics instructor at Nashua Community High School in Nashua, Iowa, discussed his observations concerning the role of a classroom teacher during his twenty-four year career at Nashua.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
