Abstract
This collection consists of items pertaining to the Mankato Music Club. Included in the collection are programs from presentations put on by the club, membership lists, meeting minutes, newspaper clippings, correspondence, scrapbooks kept by the organization, and a history of the Mankato Music Club.

Biographical / Historical
Mrs. Roy Andrews and others formed The Mankato Music Club in the fall of 1916 with musical interest. The club was formally organized in1917, and held its first program, entitled “American National Songs” in February of 1917. Also in 1917, the group became a member of the Minnesota Federation of Music Clubs.
The only qualification for membership in the Mankato Music Club was an appreciation for music, and the club thrived for many years. In 1967, the club celebrated its fiftieth anniversary.
