Young, Loy, 1923-2015. Oral History Interview, 2004.
Abstract
The Young collection consists of a VHS videocassette, a DVD duplicate of the VHS videocassette, and a brief biographical form from of an oral history interview conducted between Young and James Kuhlmann in 2004. In this interview, Young talks about his service in the Air Force as part of the Air Transport Command (ATC) during World War II. Young talks about entering the Air Force, his wartime service, and life after the service.
This oral history interview was conducted as part of the South Central Minnesota Veterans History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical
Loy Young was born on January 21, 1923 in Summer, Iowa. Young served in the United States Air Force in the Air Transport Command (ATC) from 1942 until 1946. Young served during World War II. At the time of the interview Young lived in Kasota, MN.
