Abstract
This collection consists of one volume of letters transcribed by James D. Parsons. The letters were written by Edgar Van Buren Dickey during his time in the Civil War (1861 – 1865). Included in these letters are official correspondence to Dickey, who was an enlisted man from Minnesota, and his personal letters home. His letters home cover topic such as the terrain being covered, conditions in the camps, and information about his family at home. The letters were transcribed as a project in Experimental Studies at Mankato State University in 1980.
