Abstract

The Jennifer Real collection consists of a biographical form and an audio CD and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Real and David Engen in October 2007. Real attended Minnesota State University, Mankato from 2005-2009. In this interview, Real talks about her earliest Minnesota State Mankato memories, the differences between the two colleges she attended, her academic career, her favorite professors, and how college aids in self-discovery.

This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical

Jennifer Real was born Jan. 23, 1986 in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended high school at James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia, and then Osseo Senior High in Osseo, Minnesota in 2004. After graduating, Real attended Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa from 2004 to 2005. Real transferred to Minnesota State University, Mankato where she majored in speech communication and mass communication with a public relations emphasis. She planned to graduate in 2009.
