Engen, David, 1968-. Oral History Interview, 2007
Abstract
The David Engen collection consists of a biographical form and an audio CD and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Engen and Jennifer Real in October 2007. Engen attended Minnesota State University, Mankato from 1988-1990. In this interview, Engen talks about his decisions to attend college and graduate school, his experiences as a student and as a faculty member at Minnesota State Mankato, and faculty members that stand out.
This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical
David Engen was born June 4, 1968, in Fridley, Minnesota. Engen graduated from high school and then attended Anoka-Ramsey Community College. He then attended Mankato State University from 1988 to 1990 where he majored in speech communication and business administration and was a member of the forensics team. After graduation, Engen entered the workforce for a short while and then attended Auburn University and received a master’s degree in 1992. Engen finished his education at Bowling Green State University where he received his doctorate degree in 1995. Engen has taught at Minnesota State University, Mankato since 2002.
