Abstract

The Huhn collection consists of a VHS videocassette, a DVD duplicate of the VHS videocassette, and brief biographical from an oral history interview conducted between Huhn and James Kuhlmann in 2004. In this interview, Huhn talks about his service in the United States Air Force as an Airplane Armorer-Gunner. He also talks about how his time in England as part of the 381st Bombardment Group (Heavy).

This oral history interview was conducted as part of the South Central Minnesota Veterans History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical

Allen Huhn was born on March 11, 1921 in New Ulm, MN and passed away in 2011. He served in the United States Air Force from 1942 until 1944. Huhn was stationed in England and was in the 381st Bombardment Group (Heavy) as part of the 534th Bomb Squadron. For his service Huhn received the Air Medal. At the time of the interview Huhn lived in Nicollet, MN.
