The Sandra J. Ready collection consists of an audiocassette tape, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, a transcript, and a biographical form and interview outline of an oral history interview conducted between Ready and Marsha Danielson in November 2006. In this interview. Ready talks about her family, her time as a student and then faculty member at Mankato State College, and what she has done since retiring.

This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Miimesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical

Sandra J. Ready was bom November 23, 1945 in Miami Beach, Florida. She graduated from Saint Louis Park High School in Saint Louis Park, MN in 1963 and began her higher education studies at the University of Minnesota. She transferred to Mankato State College and graduated with a bachelor's degree in education and went on to teach high school English, speech, and journalism. She later completed a master's degree in library media education, a specialist degree in curriculum and instmction, and a second bachelor's degree from Mankato State University. Ready was a Mankato State University librarian and retired in 2002. Ready married Kirk Ready in July 1967 and they have two children, both Mankato State University alums.
