Huntley, Kennes C., 1932-. Oral History Interview, 2007
The Kennes C. Huntley collection consists of an audiocassette tape, a CD duplicate of the
audiocassette, and a biographical form and interview outline of an oral history interview
conducted between Huntley and Marsha Danielson in January 2007. Huntley talks about
his family, his experiences as a student at Mankato State College, and his experience as a
faculty member at Minnesota State University.
This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical
Kennes C. Huntley was bom April 9,1932 in Toeterville, Iowa. He graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1950 and was in the Air Force from 1951-1955 during the Korean conflict. He worked in constmction for one year before he started college at Austin Junior College (Minnesota) at 24 years old on the G.I. Bill and while working part-time. After two years he went onto Mankato State College to study business and business administration, during which he at one time lived and worked in the Blue Earth County poor farm/Oak Grove poor farm. He eventually received a master's degree from Mankato State College and a Ph.D. in business administration from University of Iowa at Iowa City. He was a faculty member at Minnesota State University in the Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate. Huntley married Mary lone Hesla in 1962 and has two children who are both alums of Mankato State University.
