Abstract
The David W. Allan collection consists of two audiocassette tapes, a CD duplicate of the audiocassettes, and a biographical form and interview outline of an oral history interview conducted between Allan and Marsha Danielson in December 2006. Allan was employed at Minnesota State University, Mankato 1974-2001. In this interview, Allan talks about his family, his education, and his time as a faculty member at Minnesota State University.
This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical
David W. Allan was born June 27, 1938 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He graduated from Technical High School in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1956, attended Fitchburg State Teachers College for his bachelor’s in education, and received a master’s degree and specialist degree from University of Connecticut. He married Nancy Allan in 1963 and their two children are graduates of Minnesota State University. Allan has been a professor at West Connecticut State College, an audio visual administrator at an education cooperative in Westchester County, New York, and became library faculty at Mankato State College in 1974. He retired in 2001.
