Abstract
The Donovan Roberts collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Roberts and Paul Drexler during the autumn of 1985. In the interview, Roberts, a math teacher at Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, discussed the areas of continuity and change during his career from 1954 through 1985. Roberts talked about discipline, extra duties, a decline in parental involvement, and the goals of both teachers and administrators to improve the school and the classroom environments.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
