Abstract
The Leslie (Les) Sonnabend collection contains an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Sonnabend and Gregory Mead during the autumn of 1984. In the interview, Sonnabend, the Assistant Superintendent of Prior Lake Schools in Prior Lake, Minnesota, discussed his recollections concerning the Prior Lake Teachers’ Strike of 1981. He mentioned how the strike impacted his life, the availability of replacement teachers, and the dispute’s aftermath.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
