Abstract

The Clifford (Cliff) Anderson collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Anderson and Percy Lingen during the winter of 1987. In the interview, Anderson, a science teacher in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, discussed his experiences working as a bargaining agent for his local teachers’ union. He mentioned the impact of state legislation upon contract negotiations, and Anderson noted the thanklessness and difficulties incumbent upon those who volunteer to serve as contract negotiators.

This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled Current Issues in Public Education at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
