Abstract
The Thomas Christensen collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript for an oral history interview conducted between Christensen and David Wollin during the winter of 1987. Christensen began his career as a classroom teacher in 1959. When the interview occurred, he was working as a social studies teacher at Waterville-Elysian High School in Waterville, Minnesota. In the interview, Christensen discussed the changes in school discipline during his career by responding to questions about the role of administrators, teachers, school boards, students, and the surrounding community.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled Current Issues in Public Education at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
