Abstract

The Theodore (Ted) Olson collection consists of two audiocassettes and a transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Olson and Mike Shay during the winter of 1987. During his thirty-seven year career in public education, Olson worked almost entirely in the New Ulm, Minnesota school system either a teacher, an assistant principal, a principal, or as a superintendent. In the interview, Olson discussed changes that occurred during his career, his observations about the New Ulm community and school system, along his relationships with co-workers.

This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled Current Issues in Public Education at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
