Wayne, Margo Dawn, 1955-. Oral History Interview, 19 and 21 January 1987
Abstract
The Margo Wayne collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Wayne and Brenda Moeller during January 1987. Wayne began her teaching/coaching career at Albert Lea High School in Albert Lea, Minnesota in 1977. During the interview, Wayne discussed the greatest changes in teaching physical and health education classes. She noted the rapid rate that new information was being added to the field and the difficulty of keeping curriculum current in light of new findings. Furthermore, she discussed the increasing awareness of health and fitness among students during the 1980s.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled Current Trends in Public Education at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
