Abstract

The Cassie Townsend collection consists of a biographical form and an audio CD and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Townsend and Christine Bastian in October 2007. Townsend attended Minnesota State University, Mankato from 2004-2009. In this interview, Townsend talks about why she chose Minnesota State University, Mankato, her college experiences including living in the dorms and in off-campus housing, the organizations she was involved in, her academic program, her favorite professors, and the hardest things about college.

This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Biographical / Historical

Cassie Townsend was born Oct. 28, 1985 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Townsend attended West Lutheran High School in Plymouth, Minnesota and graduated in 2004. While at Minnesota State University, Mankato she majored in speech communication and minored in interdisciplinary communication. She graduated May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Speech Communication.
