Abstract

This collection consists of a booklet written by F. Arnold Meyer, outlining his family’s history. The booklet tells the story of his family’s move from Germany, and their life in Mankato and Southern Minnesota. The lives of the patriarchs of the family, who are named in the title, is the main focus of the work, but information about later generations is also included. Meyer speaks about his family’s first years in America, the time during World War I and the Great Depression, and his family’s business, Meyer & Sons TV and Appliance, in Mankato, and includes photographs of family members and important places in the family’s history.
