Meskan, Larry. Oral History Interview, 11 and 17 November 1987
Abstract
The Larry Meskan collection consists of an audiocassette and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Meskan and Raymond Arsenault during the fall of 1987. At the time of the interview, Meskan was working as a secondary English teacher at Waterville-Elysian High School in Waterville, Minnesota. He had been at the school since 1954. In the interview, Meskan focused on the areas of change and continuity during his teaching career. For instance, he mentioned textbooks, technology, and the roles of both parents and students.
This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for the graduate level Educational Foundations course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
