Biographical / Historical

Annie Blanche Chester was born May 9, 1879 in Canon City Township in Rice County, Minnesota. In the fall of 1897, she moved with her family to Dundas Minnesota, where she spent the rest of her life. Chester was a musician and attended Lathum Studios of Faribault, Carleton College, and Northwestern Conservatory of Music in Minneapolis. Chester composed instrumental music and had her own orchestra which played at social events. Chester passes away on November 30, 1961 in Northfield, Minnesota.
