The Lucie Jelinek Papers collection consists of a teaching contract between Jelinek and School District 5, Sherburne County, Minnesota from 1910, a first grade state teacher’s certificate by indorsement(sic.) from 1911, and a first grade teacher’s certificate extension from 1928.

Biographical / Historical
Jelinek graduated from New Prague High School and enrolled in Mankato State Normal School in September 1908 at the age of nineteen. She graduated from the elementary course in 1909. She taught in the Becker (1909), Sherburne County (1910), South Stillwater (1911-1912), Proctor (1912-1916) and New Prague (1922-1923) schools. It is not clear where she was teaching at when her certificate was extended in 1928.
