The Diane Berge Papers collection is a paper that Diane Berge wrote for her American Higher Education class at the University of Minnesota, while studying for her doctorate degree in Higher Education. The paper, titled, “Mankato State University from Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic to Data Structures, Microcomputers and Robotics,” trace the development of MSU from the Normal School to the University with special emphasis on the development of the Computer Science Department from the early 1960s through the present.

Berge received her Master’s of Arts at Mankato State University in 1978, and has been the Associate Director of Admissions at Mankato State University since 1978. In 2010, Berge received special recognition for twenty-five years of service at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
